How to add the Ask bar to your website
The real setup, in the order you'll see it: paste your website, pick where it sends people, check what it learned, make the bar yours, then paste one line.

What you are setting up
The Ask bar sits at the bottom of every page on your site. Visitors type a question in their own words, or highlight something they're reading, and get an answer from your own content with a link to the page that finishes the job: booking, pricing, a quote form.
It does not complete a booking, take a payment or change an account. Those still happen on your own pages, which is where the bar sends people.
Step 1 — Paste your website
Type your address. Linkd reads the site and pulls out what a visitor would ask about: your pages, services and prices, hours, contact details, your booking link and your brand colors. There's nothing to upload to get started.
How long this takes depends on the size of the site. A small business site is quick; a few hundred pages takes longer. You can carry on while it works.
Step 2 — Pick where it sends people
Choose the pages that turn a question into a customer: a booking page, your pricing, a contact or estimate form. Linkd suggests them from what it found. Every answer can end with one of these, so pick the ones you actually want people to land on.
Step 3 — Add anything else (optional)
Drop in a price sheet or a policy PDF, paste a few paragraphs, or write the questions you get every day with the answers you'd give. This is optional; a clear website is often enough to start.
Only add material you'd be happy for any visitor to read. Don't upload customer records, health information or anything private.
Step 4 — Check your business
What you sell, what it costs, your hours, service area and the one thing you most want people to do are filled in from your site. Read them once. Fix anything that's out of date: the bar treats these as facts.
Step 5 — Make the bar yours
Pick an icon, the name on the button and a color. The color starts from your own site. You see the bar on your page as you change it.
Step 6 — Paste one line
Copy one line of code into your site and the bar appears on every page. There are step-by-step guides for WordPress, Framer, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Shopify, Next.js and plain HTML. (On Squarespace, adding code needs a Business plan or higher.)
You also get a help page with its own link, so you can share the same answers in an email signature, a bio or a QR code.
Before you tell anyone
Open the Playground and ask the ten questions you hear most. Check that each answer is right, that it links to the page you expected, and that it says "I don't know" when it should. The testing guide has a short routine.
After launch
Questions the bar couldn't answer show up in Analytics. Write the answer once with Teach answer and it's covered from then on.
